Contact details
Your name, email and phone number must come out as text the software can file, not as an image or a header it skips.
Standard sections
Headings such as Experience, Education and Skills tell the parser where each part of your resume starts.
Clean formatting
Tables, text boxes and decorative characters can break the text into fragments the software can't reassemble.
Readable dates
Dates in a consistent format let the software compute your experience per role.
Reading order
A sidebar or two-column layout can interleave lines, so a skill ends up in the middle of a job description.
Intact keywords
Words split by hyphenation or odd spacing no longer match the terms a recruiter searches for.
Text layer

How to read your result
The score weighs the checks by how hard each failure is to recover from: a missing contact block or broken formatting costs more than an unreadable date. The reading-order view highlights the lines a two-column layout pulls out of place, and each suggestion quotes the passage to edit.
What happens to your resume
We don't save your resume. The analysis runs once, the result stays available for an hour so you can read it, and then it is deleted. Nothing is added to an account unless you create one.
